Heineken Silver case study: reaching Gen Z through creators, an event and Reels

To launch Heineken Silver to Gen Z, Heineken partnered with Vamp to build a creator system around a single live event, and earned a 10.8% engagement rate in 24 hours.
Heineken Silver had a specific problem: a single product, a hard-to-reach audience, and one night to make an impression. Gen Z don’t respond to broadcast launches. They respond to experiences they can be part of, on the platforms they already live on. So the campaign was designed around exactly that: 66 creators, one immersive warehouse party, and content built natively for TikTok and Instagram Reels.
The result was 119 pieces of content reaching an audience of 1.4 million, with an engagement rate of 10.8%, well above category benchmarks, from the coverage of a single event.

The short version:
- Brand: Heineken, launching Heineken Silver to a Gen Z audience.
- The system: 66 creators briefed around one live event, the Heineken Silver Warehouse Party, with content made for TikTok and Reels.
- The approach: loose creative brief, tight audience and platform targeting. Creators were given freedom, not a shot list.
- The outcome: 119 content pieces, 1.4m audience, 245k impressions, 10.8% engagement rate, in 24 hours.
The brief: launch Heineken Silver to Gen Z, natively
The objective was precise. Showcase the “Unexpectedly Smooth” experience of Heineken Silver to Gen Z, through engaging Instagram Reels and TikToks captured at the Heineken Silver Warehouse Party.
That precision is the point. This wasn’t a broad awareness push hoping to catch a young audience somewhere in the mix. It was a single product, a single audience, and a single moment, engineered to perform.
The strategy: design for how Gen Z actually behave
Heineken wanted to be hyper-targeted in launching Heineken Silver, and built the whole approach around two things they knew about the audience. Gen Z have an appetite for unique experiences, and they love to share those experiences on their favourite channels, TikTok and Instagram. The campaign combined those two behaviours into one tightly focused system: give them an experience worth sharing, then let them share it where they already are.
Working with Vamp, Heineken briefed 66 relevant creators in parallel, inviting them to the immersive party and asking them to capture their favourite moments. The brief was deliberately loose. Some creators were simply asked to showcase the “Unexpectedly Smooth” experience of Heineken Silver, with no fixed aesthetic to follow.
That restraint is what made it work. By giving creators the creative freedom to enjoy the event rather than dictating an aesthetic, Heineken came away with a large, diverse and genuinely creative set of assets. The content performed because it was authentic, made by creators who were there, not actors reading a script.

The outcomes: benchmark-beating engagement in 24 hours
Targeting one specific audience with one specific product produced strong organic results. The numbers below cover a 24-hour window and a single event, which is what makes them notable. They show what focus earns: choose the audience precisely, then make every decision about platforms and formats based on how that audience actually behaves.
Results
- Influencers: 66
- Content pieces: 119
- Audience: 1.4m
- Impressions: 245k
- Reach: 238.5k
- Engagements: 8.1k
- Engagement rate: 10.8%
Why this campaign worked
Three decisions did the heavy lifting, and they’re the same decisions that separate a system from a one-off post.
- Audience first, platform second. The strategy started with how Gen Z behave, then chose TikTok and Reels because that’s where the behaviour already lives, not the other way round.
- An experience worth sharing. A live event gave creators real, native material. You can’t brief authenticity, but you can design the conditions that produce it.
- Creative freedom inside a clear frame. A loose brief around a single product produced 119 distinct assets instead of 119 versions of the same shot. Diversity of content, unity of message.
FAQs
How did Heineken reach Gen Z with Heineken Silver?
By designing the launch around Gen Z behaviour rather than a generic awareness plan. Heineken built the campaign on a live experience, the Heineken Silver Warehouse Party, and 66 creators capturing it natively for TikTok and Instagram Reels, the platforms the audience already use.
What results did the Heineken Silver creator campaign achieve?
In a 24-hour window covering a single event: 66 creators, 119 content pieces, an audience of 1.4 million, 245k impressions, 238.5k reach, 8.1k engagements and a 10.8% engagement rate, above category benchmarks.
Why did a loose creative brief work better here?
Because authenticity outperforms control. Giving creators freedom to capture the event in their own style produced a diverse, credible set of assets that audiences trusted, far more effective than a single prescribed aesthetic repeated 119 times.
A great event is a moment. A creator system is an asset.
Heineken Silver shows what happens when influence is designed, not improvised: one audience, one product, one night, engineered into benchmark-beating performance. The harder, more valuable work is turning a moment like this into something that compounds, a repeatable system for reaching the right audience, in the right place, again and again.
That’s the work we do. Vamp is a tech-enabled influencer marketing agency: we design creator-led growth systems and run the engine behind them, so influence becomes measurable growth rather than a one-off spike. Talk to us.
