Instagram announced yesterday that you can now share up to 10 pieces of content, video or photo’s, attached to one post.
When you upload a post you will see a small blue icon that when selected will let you choose up to 10 pieces of content to upload attached to that image. When viewing your post, your followers will see little blue dots at the bottom of the image indicating that there is a gallery to view and can simply swipe the image to view the multiple posts.
The new photo album feature offers up a solution to the issue of spamming your followers’ feeds when you have a need ,or want, to post multiple times in short succession. Now Content Creators aren’t as constricted by posting timeframes and don’t have to consider so rigorously that they have to pace brand posts evenly across a week or a month as their followers have the option to view multiple posts from one theme.

The additional gallery of images can each be individually edited with varying filters and each still contains their own caption enabling viewers to comment and like as on a standard post.
Instagram announced “you no longer have to choose the single best photo or video from an experience you want to remember” and suggested using the feature to “share your favorite moments of your best friend’s surprise birthday party, from setting up to when they walk through the door. Or create a step-by-step cake recipe that people can always find on your profile”
Head on over to @instagram to view some live examples of this new feature on their brand page.
